About Us

Iris Marie Mack, PhD, EMBA, earned a doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University. She was also awarded a Sloan Fellowship Executive MBA from the London Business School. Dr. Mack worked at various energy and financial institutions, acted as a faculty member at MIT, and worked at NASA and AT&T Bell Labs – where she obtained a patent for research on optical fibers.

Dr. Mack currently lectures on Energy Trading and Risk Management for the Fitch Learning Certificate in Quantitative Finance Program on Wall Street and at Tulane University. Because of Dr. Mack’s extensive knowledge of the derivatives, energy trading, and investment banking world, she has been invited to write opinion columns for the UK edition of the International Business Times.

Dr. Mack has also been named one of Glamour Magazine’s Top 10 Working Women, and she is no novice writer. This publishing will be her third financially-focused and published book – including her energy trading book published with Wiley Finance and a financial literacy book for teens and adults. With this breadth of experience and sheer intellectual prowess, Dr. Mack is more than able to help readers reach the financial stability they deserve.

Jiacheng Fu (Aaron)
Earned a Master in Finance in 2015 and Master of Management in Energy in 2016 – both at Tulane University. During his studies, he worked as a teaching assistant for Dr. Iris Mack’s Energy Fundamental and Trading class. Currently Mr. Fu is running Lize Big-Data Asset Management company. This is an Asset Management and IT service company for the Finance and Energy industries. Currently he is focusing on trading strategy design. Mr. Fu co-authored Chapter 4.
Xiaogang Han (Miami)
Earned a Master of Finance at Tulane University. After graduation, he chose to work in China. Now he serves Shanghai Huatong Silver Exchange. He is in charge of trading, risk management, derivatives design and settlement for the exchange. He has passed CFA Level 1 and FRM Part 1 and is preparing for the next level. Mr. Han co-authored Chapters 5 and 6.
Xuyan Shi (Sarah)
Earned a Master of Finance at Tulane University in 2016. During her studies, she worked as a teaching assistant for Dr. Iris Mack’s Energy Fundamental and Trading class. After graduation, Ms. Shi interned at ClipperData LLC as an Energy Data Analyst in New York City. There, she was in charge of analyzing North American energy companies’ financial and production data. Ms. Shi co-authored Chapter 2.
Jingyuan Xue (Wilson)
Earned a Master of Management in Energy at Tulane University in 2015. After earning his degree, he chose to return to China to work at China Huaneng Group - the largest power group in the world. Currently Mr. Xue focuses on Chinese and global carbon trading markets and renewable energy project investments. Mr. Xue co-authored Chapter 7.
David Trevino Trevino

Has a Mechanical Engineer degree from ITESM, and earned an MBA from Ipade Business School in 2016. He participated as an exchange student at Tulane’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and took Energy Trading, Finance, Risk Management, and Strategic Management graduate level courses.  Prior to his MBA, Mr. Trevino worked at ALFA, a Mexican multinational conglomerate, where he contributed to the Energy Risk Management for all business units. Currently he works as the Energy Trading Manager at ENICON Energy & Infrastructure Co, Mexico´s first electricity trading and marketer company.  Mr. Trevino contributed as a reviewer of the book, and translated it to Spanish.
